Let's talk sleep! How's it going? Insomnia or disturbed sleep is common during infertility. Sleep affects EVERYTHING to do with the functioning of our mind and body. It can put your body into stress mode and causes your mind to struggle to concentrate and much more. Even getting 6 hours rather than the recommended 7-9 has a massive impact on you. It hugely impacts your mindset too! So let's get serious about sleep health. A good bedtime routine is essential - you need to plan wind down time without screens for at least an hour before bed if you can. Personally I need to read and this is my time before bed. Blocking out light is also important - so create a calm, dark room for your nighttime rest. It's time we started taking sleep seriously.
